The Project Management Analyst works in close collaboration with the programme staff and the operations team of the UNFPA Country Office, Government officials, experts and civil society (where relevant) ensuring successful implementation of the KOICA’s fund.

You would be responsible for:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the KOICA funded second Bridge Phase Project “Support Emergency Relief and Post Disaster Recovery for Quang Ninh One Stop Service Center”; 
  • Ensure timely implementation of all activities listed in the Work Plan (WP) in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Government and UNFPA;
  • Provide technical support to ensure the delivery of quality expected results of the project through quality preparation, and implementation of annual and quarterly work plans, including budgets;
  • Undertake monitoring and evaluation, and follow-up through the preparation of quarterly and annual progress reports, both physical and financial; ensure the timely and quality preparation and submission of periodical reports to the donor;
  • Provide communication support on the project’s activities to the public, and logistical support to activities and personnel when required;
  • Provide effective support and collaboration with other partners and stakeholders, timely facilitate the decision-making process about the project’s activities in close consultation with the direct supervisor and/or the Country Office Management; 
  • Provide support to facilitate the work of consultants, advisors and experts and establish and maintain collaborative relationships with counterparts in government, donor, and civil society and social organizations to respond to GBV;
  • Provide timely feedback to Supervisor and Senior Management Team on the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the project’s activities; 
  • Provide support to document good practices, lessons learned and success stories from the KOICA funded project for documentation, as the implementation continues;
  • Demonstrate and promote gender sensitive behavior and gender equality within UNFPA and with partners;
  • And other tasks required by the Country Office Management and the Gender Team including in relation to supporting the wider Country Office mandate and well-being. 

Qualifications and Experience :

Education: 

  • Advanced degree in project/public management, health, population, demography, and/or other related social science disciplines.

Knowledge and Experience: 

  • Up to two years of professional experience in the field of gender and gender-based violence, with experience in programme/ project management is desirable.
  • Practical experience in design, monitoring and evaluation of development projects.
  • Experience in working with Government offices, NGOs, international development organizations, and institutions especially in gender and gender based violence is desirable.
  • Good understanding of the Vietnamese Government gender-related policies, laws, policy making processes and being able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the relevant Government partners.
  • Experience in gender programming, understanding of human rights dimensions of gender, experience in culturally sensitive programming and in advising and supporting initiatives eliminating Domestic Violence/GBV will be an asset.
  • Familiar with the One UN context/One Plan and UN working environment will be an advantage.
  • Experience in using office software packages and web-based management systems.

Languages: 

  • Fluency in English and Vietnamese.
